The famous Asian artist, Mr. Chen Chien-chou Blackie, is the founder & CEO of the Taiwan professional basketball league, P.LEAGUE+. Not only does he have an admirable physique with a height of 1.9m, but he also has a unique fashion sense. This year the Hong Kong tourbillon brand, Memorigin, is honored to collaborate with Mr. Blackie Chen on launching the sporty Black Angel tourbillon watch.

The design-to-production process took almost 2 years. Yet, Blackie was actively involved in different stages and took a hands-on approach for the project’s success. The design concept came from the BLACK color from Blackie. It is also inspired by Blackie’s passion, attitude, and spirit of non-giving up. It is important to maintain a positive and right attitude at all times. Style is also taken into consideration for the watch design. It must be easy to match with all kinds of outfits on formal or casual occasions.

The classic barrel-shaped case with a large diameter show depicts a man’s tough personality without losing its dignity. The dial is filled with the BLACK elements. The skeleton design allows the generation of power from gears to the tourbillon movement to be perfectly seen, adding a sense of depth in the dark. The time display, case screws, and crown are in white to form a contrast with the black. The combination also implies the song “Black and White” written by Blackie’s wife, Christine Fan to commemorate their marriage.

This watch is equipped with Memorigin’s tourbillon movement, which has a frequency of 28,800 oscillations per hour. It is a manual-winding watch with 40 hours of power reserve.
