Sharon Kwok Sau-wan, a celebrity who has always been committed to promoting environmental protection, founded the charity “AquaMeridian Conservation and Education Foundation” in 2013 and has involved in saving endangered animals for years. This year, AquaMeridian cooperated with Hong Kong tourbillon brand Memorigin to launch the “Eternal Elephants Charitable Tourbillon” with the theme of African elephants on August 12, the "World Elephant Day", for fund-raising. After deducting the cost, the entire profit of this series will be donated to AquaMeridian as funds for the development of conservation and education projects, making this cooperation more meaningful. The African elephant is the largest among the existing terrestrial mammals and has a pair of representative large ears. “Every year, 20,000 African elephants are hunted and killed innocently because of the ivory trade. We hope to ban the ivory trade and educate people not to buy ivory products, otherwise, the African elephants are likely to become extinct within 10 to 20 years,” said Sharon.

To match the theme of African grassland, rose gold is used as the main tone of the watch. The dial is in skeletal design, on which Memorigin uses its specialized skeletal engraving techniques to meticulously depict the great migration of African elephants. The designer has done thorough research, and selected 12 mature and baby elephants with different expressions as the time scales, making the watch full of vitality. The skeletal part allows each component to be seen through. While the sunlight shines through the blue sapphire dial, wearers can enjoy the operation of the delicate tourbillon movement. The back of the movement is carved with the words " AquaMeridian <3 Green and Cherish", reminding everyone to keep in mind the purpose of "respect for life and cherish nature".

The watch is equipped with a calf leather strap, adding some raw feelings. Memorigin specially chooses a manual-winding tourbillon movement with a frequency of 28,800 oscillations per hour and 40 hours of power reserve, giving high accuracy and stability.

Besides, Sharon has invited the founder and CEO of Memorigin, William Shum, to be the honorary advisor of AquaMeridian so that he can join the team and contribute to the conservation. Sharon’s good friend, artist Eva Lai Yin-shan, was also invited to be the charity ambassador of the event. They took promotional photos for the watch together and made them into exquisite certificates to be attached to the watch, making this series of watches more memorable.
