B.Duck, designed by the Hong Kong renowned designer Eddie Hui, is popular among the public because of its active and adorable image. For 14 years, B.Duck has been bringing various product designs across the fields of electronics, household items, gifts, stationeries, and apparel etc. Its footprints are everywhere. This year, B.Duck is joining hands with Memorigin, the Hong Kong tourbillon watch brand, to launch the ‘Be Playful’ series. The positive energy of B.Duck is injected into the tourbillon watches so that happiness follows you wherever you go.
The men’s watch has a black tone with a special barrel shape. The B.Duck icon is shown at 12 o’clock position on the skeletal dial. Not only does the hollow design makes B.Duck more lively, but it also allows the operation of the tourbillon movement to be seen. The watch is detail-orientated in which the birthday of B.Duck ‘1126’ is carved at 4 o’clocl position. A yellow line is added around the dial by the designer to bring a bright contrast in the dark watch. The striped frame and the indices ‘3’ and ‘9’ are layered on the sapphire crystals with silk-screen printing technique. At the bottom of the tourbillon at 6 o’clock position, the ‘Be Playful’ motto can always be a little reminder to motivate you.
An automatic-winding tourbillon movement is installed in the men’s watch. While its 40 hours of power reserve provides high flexibility, wearers can enjoy both the joy of manual winding and the convenience of automatic winding. The black tone is trendy yet mature. Together with the black alligator strap, they show the stylish side of B.Duck.
The ladies’s watch is simple but elegant. The B.Duck icon made of mother of pearl lies at 12 o’clock position on the skeletal dial, showing its bright eyes and cheerful smile. There is a B.Duck’s favourite donut as a decoration next to the tourbillon at 6 o’clock position. The operation of the delicate tourbillon movement can be seen through the hollow design of the dial, and it enhances the whole visual. The ladies’s watch provides the classic and the imperial versions. The latter one includes a range of diamonds encircling the dial and the watch case. The watch shines with the whie alligator strap as if the wearer’s charisma blooms.
As the diameter of the ladies’s dial is smaller that the men’s one, it is more difficult to install the components into the watches with only 35mm diameter. Memorign accepts the challenge and has invented a highly-stable tourbillion movement. It has 60 hours of power reserve and oscillates in a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour. The vibrant off-centered tourbillon satisfies the lady consumers’ pursuit of craftmanship and beauty.
