2019 is the big day for Macau's 20th anniversary of its return to the motherland. To commemorate this important moment, the Macau Specialty Store of Memorigin and Macau's first service platform to promote design - Macau Design Centre and the local design company in Macau - the Todot Design to launch the joint project "Macau’s reunification of the 20th anniversary tourbillon watch: THE MO’MENT" which is originally designed by the Todot Design’s director Bob Lei Hou Keong. Memorigin's watch design has always pursued innovation and devoted a lot of ideas and time to every detail, and hoped to bring surprises to customers through various details.
On the theme of celebrating the 20th anniversary of the return of Macau, Memorigin added new elements to the traditional tourbillon. Its craftsmen adopted new technology and integrated the traditional watchmaking expertise together with the local designers of Macau cleverly by using various design elements. A thoughtful design concept presents a new original collection. Memorigin's engraving technique has always been highly detailed. And the dial’s engraving pattern is also inspired by the Macau’s city flower - "Lotus". The tourbillon at 6 o'clock position like the lotus flower with full of brilliance. The turning tourbillon also symbolizes the stability and prosperity of Macau. In order to match the theme of the reunification, the ends of the hour and minute hands are decorated with a big circle and a small circle. When the two hands overlap at 12 o'clock position, the two circles will overlap each other to form the meaning of returning of Macau.
The dial of the watch is set with 11 emeralds as the time index. The green color is the color of the Macau regional flag, which is very representative and commemorative. Whether it's with a rose gold plated or black case, it's also eye-catching with colors and can bring the focus to the watch. Under the exquisite skeleton dial, the complex and precise movement is hidden which is creating a layered three-dimensional sense. This watch is precious and must become a collection of treasures.
