Former NBA star Stephon Marbury joined Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) for 8 years and has led the team 3 times to win the CBA championship. He officially retired in February this year. To commemorate his wonderful 22-year basketball career, Memorigin, the Hong Kong Tourbillon brand has cooperated with him to launch the watch. For the first time, Mr. Marbury, being a watch designer, admits that basketball is the pursuit of his life. The perimeter of the dial is lined with basketball patterns and the day/night indicator is also decorated with three-dimensional basketball embossment. At the 3 o'clock position, the big “3” is the representative of his jersey number and the "3" tattoo logo on his body. In order to commemorate his 22-year career, the bezel is dedicated to the red "22" time index to witness Marbury's contribution to the basketball world.
The watch series is available in four different editions, including the Classical Collections, the Star Collections, the Galaxy Collections and the My Legend. Each is made of different materials, including stainless steel, rose gold-plated steel, 18K white gold, 18K rose gold, 18K gold and set with a different number of diamonds to cater to the tastes of different people. And the first batch of limited editions launched a total of 100 pcs which is so precious!
Memorigin selected the tourbillon with a vibration frequency of 28,800 times per hour, which is stable and precise with a double-spring of 80-hour power reserve indicator, which makes the watch perfect both inside and outside. About Stephon Marbury
Stephon Marbury was an American former professional basketball player, played the point guard position. He was selected as 1996 NBA draft, which is considered to be one of the most legendary NBA Draft classes included such greats as Allen Iverson, Kobe Bryant and Ray Allen. Marbury played in the NBA from 1996 to 2009. He was an NBA All-Star in 2001 and 2003. He then played in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) from 2010 to 2018, and leading his team to win three CBA championships in 2012, 2014 and 2015. He was selected as CBA MVP in 2013. He is the first foreign aid in the history of CBA to get the “Permanent Residence Permit for Foreigners” in China.
